As of October 20, 2020, San Francisco’s reopening next steps come as the State of California assigned San Francisco to Yellow on its tiered reopening system, based on The City’s COVID-19 case and infection rates and equity metric.
As of October 2020, our award-winning restaurants are open for modified indoor seating at 25% capacity and socially distanced outdoor seating. Restaurants are also open for take-out and delivery.
On November 3rd, San Francisco will review the City’s target to increase indoor dining capacity to 50% up to 200 people. Please check back for details.
Starting on Tuesday, October 27th, non-essential offices in San Francisco can reopen at 25% capacity. Offices with fewer than 20 employees can reopen beyond 25%, to the extent that space allows employees to maintain social distancing.
Offices should check San Francisco’s reopening page for updated requirements and guidelines.
The Piers ownership and management hold the health and well-being of our guests and tenants as our highest priority. We are following all CDC recommended protocols to ensure the highest level of standards. We urge guests and tenants to follow all guidelines including frequent hand washing, wearing masks, and maintaining social distancing (minimum of six feet).
San Francisco’s reopening plan is outlined below and is available online at sf.gov/reopening.

We have collaborated with each restaurant to ensure visitors are aware of the precautions we’re taking as we begin to reopen by displaying visible signage at The Piers and on our website.
